WHAT IS FOSTERING?
And how can I get involved?
DO I NEED TO KEEP FOSTER ANIMALS SEPARATE FROM MY PETS?
We require that all fostered animals are kept separate until they have been fully vetted. It is best to start with your fosters in a bathroom, bedroom, or even a crate to ensure that until a time when they have been properly vaccinated, they are kept safe and separate. |
I LOVE THE IDEA OF BEING A FOSTER PARENT, BUT HOW CAN I POSSIBLY BRING THEM BACK FOR ADOPTION?
We know it can be difficult, but you have become a crucial part in helping homeless animals get the forever families they deserve. When you help one kitten, and then find it a home, there will always be another in need of your help. But don't worry, we allow "Foster Failure!" |
WHAT IF A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER WANTS TO ADOPT MY FOSTER ANIMAL?
We thank you for helping find homes for your foster animals? However, we require that every adopter submit an application to be considered for adoption. If they are approved, they can adopt directly from you! |
WHAT IF I WANT TO ADOPT THE ANIMAL I'M FOSTERING?
This is the "Foster Failure" thing I mentioned before! We understand this can happen when you are fostering, and we would love for you to adopt your foster! Just be sure to let us know as soon as you know so that we can make sure no applications are submitted for your foster! Remember that fosters are crucial in saving lives, so we ask you to consider how adopting your foster may affect your ability to continue fostering other animals in the future. |
